WM Landfill to RNG Project

These 12,000 scfm and 8,000 scfm projects feature scavenger vessels with carbon media for H2S removal; absorption vessels with selexol; and an amine plant for CO2 removal. The projects will treat landfill gas (LFG) and anaerobic digester gas (ADG) combined. The methane-rich LFG and ADG will be compressed and cleaned of unwanted contaminants before being delivered as pipeline-quality renewable natural gas (RNG) into the utility pipeline for use. CEM is currently completing detailed engineering for all aspects of the project including structural, mechanical, electrical, and I&C. The projects are scheduled to be substantially complete by 2024.

Sunnybrook 8 MW CHP Facility

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a leading healthcare institution, has taken a significant stride towards sustainability and energy efficiency with the successful completion of an 8MW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) facility. This project, implemented under the Save on Energy/Process and System Upgrade Initiative (SOE/PSUI), features an 8 MW natural gas-fired Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) and 90,000 lbs/hr HRSG. By generating both electricity and thermal energy simultaneously, this CHP facility provides numerous benefits to Sunnybrook, including reduced energy costs, increased operational efficiency, and a smaller carbon footprint.

EPC Biogas/ RNG Project

The project is one of the largest dairy biogas to RNG projects in Florida being built by TECO Peoples Gas, Florida’s largest natural gas distribution utility that will cap- ture waste from approximately 6,500 cows and produce 600 scfm of biogas for conversion to pipeline quality renewable natural gas (RNG). The project is anticipated to produce 105,000 MMBtu of RNG, enough to serve 4,400 homes annually. The project utilizes high-efficiency membrane separation technology for recovering more than 99.6% methane from biogas including upstream biogas conditioning and hydrogen sulfide removal system. The project will inject pipeline quality RNG into the Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) system very close to the project site with- out needing virtual pipeline transportation infrastructure.

Delta RNG Project

CEM Engineering and Threeosix Industrial are thrilled to share with you our latest project – converting landfill waste into renewable natural gas (RNG)!

With this innovative approach, we can take what was once a major source of pollution and turn it into a clean and sustainable energy source. CEM Engineering and Threeosix Industrial have been working hard to make this a reality, and we are excited to share a video with you showcasing the project and benefits of RNG.

15.7MW CHP Project

This project primarily comprises a 15.7 MW Gas Turbine Generator (Solar Titan 130), a Heat Recovery Steam Generator with a capacity of 120,000 lb/hr, featuring ductburners and fresh air firing, as well as exhaust heat recovery. The supporting equipment encompasses a Fuel Gas Booster Compressor (FGBC), an emergency diesel genset, a 15 MVA transformer, and 27.6 kv switchgear. CEM played a pivotal role in all stages of this project’s development, from its inception to providing post-completion support.

Boiler and CHP Project

This project consisted of two x 500 boiler horse power boilers, a new 100 PSI steam header, an 800 kWe CHP with hot water and exhaust gas heat recovery to make steam. and we added a new steam and condensate line to their new pasteurizer.
