WASTE MANAGEMENT WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste Management – Ste Sophie

The Ste Sophie RNG will receive and treat up to 12,000 SCFM (dry basis) of landfill gas (LFG) and digester gas (ADG) combined. The methane-rich LFG and ADG will be compressed and cleaned of unwanted contaminants before being delivered as pipeline-quality renewable natural gas (RNG) into the utility pipeline for use. The project will inject up to 80 million cubic metres of RNG into Énergir’s network to help achieve the government and Énergir’s goal of distributing 5% RNG into the gas network by 2025. This RNG plant will significantly reduce Quebec’s GHG emissions by approximately 170,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

CEM has completed detailed engineering and is currently providing construction support to Waste Management and the General Contractor, Groupe Malo.
